1. Elimination of all fried foods and red meat. It's a lifestyle.....Not a diet.
2. I incoroporated certain foods 1-2 x per week that are not traditional weight loss meals.i.e. Yogurt frozen w/ fresh fruit, eating a bagel with lots of cream cheese 1x per week..
3. When the urge struck to cheat, I filled up on fruitI would buy clothing that was too small....knowing in time they would fit.I NEVER SKIPPED A MEAL NOR STARVED. I knew the weight did not come on in one week nor would it go off in one week either..
4. Incorporating all 5 food groups.
5. Set mini goals - for example: One Meal At A time. Another mini goal is GETTING THROUGH THE DAY.
Exercising - If you can only sustain 10 min of exercise in the gym...do only 10 min... Don't pretend to be something you are not...... Next week do 11.
6. Hang an artilce of clothing in your closet that does not fit- try it on after 2-3 weeks and NOTICE the difference I would place an article of clothing within sight that was too tight maybe 1 size tight......my goal was to fit in it within a few weeks.
7. Don't try TOOO hard. I didnt dwell on it every min every day.
8. Exercise is for everyone!! You don't need a gym membership.
Remember to move your body as well, walking, jogging, cycling, running, swimming, use the stairs instead of the elevator, get off the bus at an earlier stop and walk the rest of the way.
